Seeing that the stock cars baselined so high, it's safe to assume that the tuned numbers were also similarly inflated compared to the usual dynojet results we've been seeing. Nothing wrong with that just as long as you compare before and after results on the same dyno. Not results from two different dyno types. These cars are putting out substantially more power and torque than what we got out of the cars in Florida. Even on 91oct. You guys are going to be surprised when you get the hardware upgrade.

I'm not sure the numbers were really inflated...my stock baseline and XEDE numbers were as follows:

Stock: 265WHP / 286 lb.-ft. RWTQ
XEDE: 322 WHP / 378 lb.-ft. RWTQ

Either way, I'm really looking forward to installing the PROcede; from what other ppl who had the XEDE (and now have the PROcede) have said, like PresaMat, you can really feel the difference. This is all very exciting, especially since I know my car is so freakin fast (and much faster than stock) with the currently installed XEDE, that it's almost hard to believe that it could actually be faster with the PROcede.

My only question though -- how does a PROcede-equipped 335i AT get a decent launch...turn on the DTC (1 push of the DTC button), and just forget starting out in 1M and start out in 2M?????

3. 2200 miles
4. Under 4000K for 1500 Miles, Changed Oil
5. Stock, unless Sports Pedals count
6. 91 Octane..the best in Cali
7. 265/282
8. 308/358
9. Windy, Rained in the morning bout 72.

Check Engine light came on after 10 miles due to two wires being crossed (not his fault), but Shiv took care of it and reset the engine code. He even threw in a serial cable so I can download my own charts...now if only I can find a computer that still comes with a serial port.

Can you reset the engine code yourself? Or do we have to go to the dealer to have that done if we screw it up the install?

Doesn't look like it. We tried pulling the fuses, which didn't work. Didn't pull the battery since that may cause all my settings to be lost. Shiv really went out of his way to resolve a cross wire that wasn't his fault.

Removing the PROceed has no effect since once the check engine code is trigger, it must be reset by an ODBC computer.

I suppose one can buy an ODBC computer, use it (it can be used for any car) or rent one. Or just wait until the scheduled maintence period and let the dealer take care of it. Afterall, our cars are still under warranty! Keep in mind that there was no lost in power at all.

Are the dyno figures that people are posting in this thread the result of custom maps created by dyno tuning, or just the base map that comes with the PROcede? If custom, does anyone have dyno figures of the standard PROcede map.

I believe that they are all on the base map. Shiv has said that custom tuning yielded so little return (~5hp) that it was not worth it. He apparently got it almost perfect with the base map

the PROcede 91 octane map is the same as the 93 octane map. the ECU just adjusts to the octane up to 93 octane..which is why you made more power on the 93 octane!!

good numbers though!!! i wish we had 93 octane...but now i just put 3 gallons of 100 in when ever i ffill up... im going to go back and dyno with the 100 octane in.

Not that I want to start another break-in argument, but with the PROcede installed and even before it is, the HP difference between hard and soft break-in is significant. Maybe I'm not reading something right.

Oh wait, I see. autos and manuals. Got it.

I got my PROcede yesterday and I will post my results.

1. Sedan
2. AT
3. 1500mi
4. Followed break-in procedures
5. Stock, except for 18" Volks RE30/Toyo T1R
6. 91 Oct
7. 268/272
8. 316/351

Car feels a lot stronger in the 1st 3 gears. The car leaps forward hard. On the freeway, acceleration on the roll is also stronger. I think 6th gear feels more like 5th now (not like 4th gear contrary what others have said). Throttle in the DS mode is smoother. But without comparing stock and PROcede back to back its hard to gauge the improvements. I think it would help a lot if the redline is raised, since I run out of RPMs quickly. I have driven other higher performance cars before regularly so the jump in performance did not impress me as much I had expected initially. Overall, I think this mod is awesome and probably worth it, especially in the 3-series and steptronic package.

If you could, you might want to try putting in some race gas and you may feel much more of a difference; unfortunately, you probably would mostly run on 91 octane in CA. I guess we're lucky here in FL, since we can run on 93 octane gas. From all the dyno's, it seems that the XEDE/PROcede-equipped 335i really, really likes higher octane gas!

You can get race gas at some CA gas stations. Mix in 4 gallons to bring the octane from 91 to 93 or 94 and gain another 10 - 15 HP!

Has anyone installed the PROcede on their own, without Shiv's expert install? Thanks.

100 octane is only bad because it is expensive. Pure 100 is like liquid gold to your car - it will run grreat and go as fast fast fast!
