I ran a modded one at the strip and I beat him only because he messed up the 1-2 shift pretty bad. He went 13.2@115mph while I went 12.3@117mph.

Drag radials
Intake
Downpipes
FMIC
Meth and or Race Gas

Cat back exhaust may help too.

Pretty much everything minus upgraded turbos or nitrous.

Getting out the hole is key with these cars. I would look at the suspension as well.

Im thinking ww meth kit or would i be better running the JB4 no meth with race gas map 7. most of the cars ill be going down there will probably be much faster than i ('12 GT 500 stock, '12 CTS-V stock, '87 Grand National 11.09 car, and 2007 C6 Corvette) im sure we will do some roll ons on the way down, i just wanna hold my own.

My car runs great now but i think im gonna need more..
How about first asking for mods to run 12s...it's a more logical first step

If this is going to be your first time at the dragstrip, you may be in for a surprise as driver skill is going to be the single most important factor in nailing that 60ft to get a decent ET.

I'll never forget that day when I met up with a 335is owner who was hoping of hitting low 13's in his bone stock car because he has seen videos of it done. The look of his face when he ran a 14.3 was priceless.

You should be running Map 7 depending on your mix of E85, it's a bit more fun than map 2

+1. When you get out there you will realize how much of a pain in the ass it is to launch this car. No LSD, suspension not setup for drag racing and a shit ton of torque low in the rpm band make this car very tough to launch.

Unless you have an awesome track, I think you are going to be surprised about how inconsistent and how tough it is to launch this car without getting wheel hop.

As far as what drag radials, I daily drive on Nitto NT555R 285/35-18s. You need a 9.5" rim to fit them.

x2

My very first time out I ran a 13.0, my second run I cut a 2.0 60' and ran a 12.8. Then after that I couldn't break 13 again. It takes a lot of practice to launch right.

I would love to but from reading terrys comments about e85 and map 7 it wasnt very convincing.. right now im running approx 30% e85 with no side effects other than a few mpgs lower.
What percentage of e85 are you running with map 7?

If you get a mix of 93 and E85 as close to 50/50 as you can, then it seems like map 7 does OK but I did it last winter mainly. I've tried it a few times this spring, and the warmer temps seem to cut timing so not sure if I need to do the 60/40 mix for track use as some have or what.

Need to test it some more, problem is I DD my car and the more E85 you mix in the rougher it starts up when the motor is cold.
