I'd heard that the shutter noise was bad on those. Is it worse than a 7D's?

Sorry, I don't have any experience with the 7D, but the Sony A7r has a definite (and somewhat irritating) "clack".

My 7D had always made quite a racket. So one day after a few months of ownership I went into the menu to turn on silent shutter mode... It turned out that it had come from the factory with it on and in fact had always been in silent shutter mode.

Silent my ass....haha

^^^Wow, is that a normal train route? With 3 old cars?

Been messing with faux HDR by adjusting images to +2, -2, and normal and then feeding them into SNS-HDR Lite, which is free. It does a great job with images like this. Little bit of extra tweaking after SNS-HDR is done.

It's an electric railway museum that operates on the old Sacramento Northern Railroad right of way, which used to run from Oakland to Chico and was electrified. The very first car in the train is an original SNRR interurban car. This is very close to what you would have seen on this exact spot 100 years ago. The train would have just got off a ferry boat from Antioch on the other side of the San Joaquin River to continue its journey north.

I have been messing with various different processing on these old trains from B&W to old analog color look to HDR. I use the NIK series (now Google) plugins.

This car ran down in the south bay between San Jose and Lost Gatos

Those are cool. We rode on something similar to the previous pic over in the UK about 5 or 6 years ago. But that wasn't nostalgia. It was a near bankrupt rail system.

Baby lamb is veal isn't it? Or is this like newborn can't eat type of lamb?

Veal is actually baby or young beef. It's often been fed only milk and, sometimes, not allowed to walk outdoors, creating "white veal.". The last bit creates controversy, as you might expect, and is why some will not eat white veal, assuming it's inhumane.

Haha, just realized, lamb is already baby sheep. Oops.

Glad we got that sorted
