Chances are I'll have a newer car or the latest PROcede REV that has an OBDII test override. You just put your car on map 3 when you pull into the test center and you pass the test regardless of the mods you have installed on your car. (Shiv take note of this option!)

The newer cars don't get the tail pipe treatment anymore. The plug into the OBDII port, walk to the back of the car to look for smoke and noise level, and that's that. I'm sure for those who don't have cats (or dogs), spill a bottle of old spice on yourself before going and the smell will be so strong they won't even notice the nasty smell coming from your car.

BTW, Ryder... Don't swet the reset. Pull the PROcede, takes all of 15 min. leave everything off the car so you don't have to put it back together. Start it up and let it sit, drive it nice ( rpm's under 3k) drive 20/30mph until you get to 84 East, hit the highway and drive 5 miles to the next exit and turn around and drive back keeping it under 60 and RPM's under 3k. When you get back, stop and let it sit running for 10 min. When you finish, take it to DEQ and you will pass without issue. I know, I did it yesterday. Good luck.
For those that have fully stock exhaust, you are correct, pulling the Procede out is one method. (Or you can just run Map 0 with Canclear off.)

In this case, Ryder has catless downpipes. He must either use the Procede built in O2 simulator or an external one such as BMS. Without these he cannot have OBDII readiness set and have no OBDII codes at the same time, both of which are required to pass.

Map 0 + no codes + readiness set + CanClear off = PASS
(That is for states that inspect by OBDII.)

All this poor guy wants to do is pass emissions and most of the posts are about legalities of car registration. Next thing you know someone is banned, there is a new forum spinoff, and someone gets a ticket for expired inspection.

OP: If you are still having trouble with this, send me a PM and I will walk you through it.
LOL..well this whole thread is really about the illegalities of fooling inspection..Unless you are offroading we are all guilty here of running catless..which is illegal in every state..

Legality of registration came into play due to some hating ....but you are correct..its def not worth hijacking the thread any further.
