Nice highway shot. The grain elevator reminds me of stretches of Route 66 in West Texas and Oklahoma.

Yes, very similar. This is the old highway you would have taken from the Bay Area up to Oregon in the days before I-5. Still acres of nut trees and crops all through this area, which is why it still attracts millions of migrating birds.

Thirty-minutes Before Sunset
Before Sunset by David Stephens, on Flickr I was hoping for the sun to peak through between the mountains and clouds and up under the clouds, but the clouds shut in at sunset, making it just okay.

Thanks Alan. Luckily, the northern harrier, like it's namesake fighter jet, tends to fly very low. This lady was probably about 5 feet off the ground as i fired away. |
