Im just looking forward to summer , I got a friend with a E60 M5 bone stock , and I talked with him this weekend , so when snow clears and summer tires are back on , we gonna have some fun . 0-60 , rolling start , lots of different stuff , just check out how it is compared.
I have driven this M5 and its a lovely car , power is scary.... So it will be great fun to see how my modded 335i will do. Its tuned like this : Afe intake: DCI with scoop ( AA intercooler kit may come) Exhaust: RR Catted coated DPS , RR midpipes , Remus mufflers. Drive : Quaife LSD Tune: JB3 v 1.22 Other: Forge DVs , RR oilcatch can , AA Speed limit remover |

I'd take the M3 over the 335 any day. There are many reasons.
I'm running Procede V3, DCI, RR downpipes, and the car is fast enough but it lacks in too many areas (braking, suspension, overall driving feel) which makes it feel very unbalanced. As the previous poster said, getting the M3 is about getting the whole package, straight-line speed is only one aspect. Sure you can get coilovers, sways, M3 suspension components, LSD, but you're really just spending all that money to compensate for what it inherently lacks. I also hope that BMW keeps the naturally aspirated engine line for the ///M's. I've driven turbo'ed cars all my life and though they are awesome for daily driving and instant acceleration, after a while the engine just feels too artificial, especially with all the mods. I'm not bashing on the 335 in anyway, it's an awesome car, gets INCREDIBLE gas mileage for all the power its putting out, it just doesn't have that sublime and intuitive feel that the m3 has. There's no comparison, the 335 and the M3 are two completely different beasts. just my opinion.... |

Good deal! You'll love ED. After doing it with my 1er I will never get a bmw the regular way again! There were no discounts to be had on M3s when I got my 1er. BMWS were still selling great at the time, heh.

You are missing the point. Take a stock E46 M3 and take a stock 335I then go dollar for dollar on mods.
335I>E46 M3
