Picked up my car Saturday afternoon. Finally!!

Finally got in from driving the new baby. Shiza, she is fast. Love the ambient lighting in the doors after the sun went down. Love the red interior. Getting used to the iDrive but liking it more as I figure it out. Couldn't snap any pictures since the sun was down. Maybe I'll snap some tomorrow (even though the car's already dirty secondary to the rain here in Houston lately).

^ Pretty close...picked mine up around 5:30pm and immediately got to use the RTTI in traffic around 6:30pm.

Overall a great experience at the dealer minus one exception...they didn't have the correct 6FL adaptor. They just tried to give me the USB cable. I told them that there is a different connector to allow full functionality of the iPod. I sent them a Bulletin from this forum to show them they were wrong...don't think I'll have any problems getting it thanks to that information.

Ok, a quick question that I'm only posting here since I don't have time to search or look in the manual right now.

On my Range Rover you can have different views of the main map and the assistant window map. For instance, I like to have a good, direction of travel map zoomed in on the main window with a zoomed out perspective window on the right...makes it easy to get around if I'm in a new area. I can't seem to get this to work on the iDrive. If I have maps in both windows, they both want to be the same type and same zoom. Do any of you guys know anything about this?

If not, I plan on doing a more detailed search of the site later...

Managed to snap a few pics of the car today. I'm in temporary housing after selling my house so I don't have a garage or anyplace to wash it...hence the filthy, grunge look. That will change next week though...thank god.
