Amazing. I hope to replicate something like this when the milky way is more visible in the summer.

I'd be lying if I said that was straight out of the camera Definitely some work done in PS to clean things up and make them pop but nothing too crazy. I've tried to get similar shots down here in Southern Ontario, but there's just too much light pollution even with the correct moon phase.

Here's a shot taken just south of Parry Sound. You can see all the light pollution in it.

Thanks! June-Sept is the best time. Gotta watch the moon phase as well, also the light pollution maps. Taking the pic is the easy part It's lining everything else up that's time consuming.

Since its been raining all week, it seemed like a good time to pull the ham bone from Christmas out of the freezer and make some soup.

Ed, I love your artsy hill-tree-cloud B&W landscape. Well done.

Bill, I envy you the snowy. Love the sunset at White Otter Lake. Great colors and composition.

Awesome shot, DC. Nicely done.

Ed, how do you get these critters to come so close?

600mm and crop

Seriously, the jackrabbits at the NWR are used to cars, so they don't spook too bad as you drive by.
