Haha thanks! And Costa Rica is beautiful, highly recommended and relatively inexpensive. Here's a cellphone shot of the Arenal Volcano to keep the thread on track

We were on the drier, coastal Pacific side with a very definite wet and dry season. Lots of wildlife which I will share of the next few weeks. Half of my photos were taken at night since a different set of fauna are awake in the evening hours, but a bit unnerving sometimes walking the jungle trails by myself in the dark every night! For example, you see a large variety of lizards during the day, but not a single one made an appearance after sunset. I suspect the Raccoon's, Margay's, Coyote's, Peccary's, Jaguarundi's, etc. have something to do with that!

In Costa Rica, they also seem partial to bougainvillea!

The ones we saw were looking for something other than the Bougainvillea to eat.
They actually ignored it and went looking for Ixora.

Good catch. Looks like either:
  1. Mating rites bite
  2. Love bite
  3. Territory bite

Wish I had a Jeep with me. I would have loved to explore that road.

I like it just fine on the rocks or with a splash of soda just fine. I got this set of copper "Mule" mugs for Christmas though, and decided to try them out. The ginger beer gives a nice bite to the cocktail, and ice cold it is very refreshing while doing some grilling out back

I went looking for fawns yesterday, with no luck. Then I ran across this lady and it was clear that I was a little bit too early. I'll bet she's carrying twins. Her two yearlings were still with her, just out of the viewfinder:

Due, any day now. I'll be looking for fawns again next weekend.

Great harrier shot. I haven't seen one in months.
