2011 F10 550i  [0.00]
Someone quoted performance figures of +80HP/+100lb ft of torque *at 12psi boost* for the soon to be released Conforti/Sharkinjector map (don't know who it was or what thread, but I remember reading it).

Was this something Jim told people at BF, or just idle speculation.

If these numbers did come from Jim C, did he mention whether these were BHP or RWHP numbers? Does anyone presently have dyno info to support these numbers?

I want the SharkInjector with USB port (SharkEdit)? What a great product!

From another thread on this site. Here is a quote, just click the arrow to goto the thread.

Thanks to Slubu for doing all the research at BF for us....

My understanding was with the Shark Edit, he will not provide a base map of his own - you start with the BMW stock map and can go from there. His Shark Injector map is at 12psi, and he gained 80 hp and 100 ft-lb torque. I could be wrong, but I do think that is what he told me. This is at 91 octane.
I guess the next question would be if those are flywheel or rear wheel numbers

Got a question about what Jim said (I'm no armchair expert):

He mentioned if we're worried about what BMW will do, just buy a spare DME. Initially I thought - hey, what a great idea, little investment for security. But then I seem to recall one of my buddies with an E36 mention that all these parts in a BMW are so interrelated that you can't just replace a simple electrical part all the time, rather, you have to replace a couple so that they continue to talk to each other the right way.

So the question is - is the DME the same way? Can you just grab another DME and stick it in anytime at whim and it will work? Anyone know? Cause if so, that's not a bad idea.

no, the DME needs to be coded to the car

80 hp and 100 ft lbs at the flywheel is not bad at all for 12 psi but if thats at the rear wheel numbers then thats jaw dropping. Thats ALOTTTT of power for such a mild tune. and by mild i mean just the Psi of 12 not referring to the tune itself.

Time to do some mods. Like corner delete mod. That should keep you busy for a few hours.

i just think its funny. either way it goes for 500 or 600, its a great price. Cheap as SSTT, power like Vishnu, and hopefully limp and Cel free like the JB and to top it off its a flash like Dinan. Thats hard to beat.

It going to get even more interesting when cars get custom tuned with the Sharkedit on a dyno with intake, exhaust,DP's,FMIC's, and race gas...
