Im trying to see how many people would want them so I can give them that number and they would let me know.
if price around 400 to 500.. i will go for it

Here is food for thought.....the post down pipe cats are typically removed from aftermarket exhaust systems. It might not be a bad idea to cut the factory exhaust to re-use this section so the car appears to have cats. Granted these post down pipe cats do not have O2 sensors so I'm pretty sure the car will throw a CEL with a catless DP. Therefore, when it comes to emissions testing time hopefully there will be some sort of resistor/cel fix for the down pipe O2 sensors.

Anyways, sorry for the long post....put me down as interested. My only apprehensions is CELs and install difficulty. I've been under the car a number of times and the DP install does not appear to be very easy.

before u testting for smoke check.. u should put back to oem part n running it normal so the ecm can adjust itself

i believe that the majority of the benfit w/aftermarket dp is the fact that they will be catless and therefor reduce backpressure.i maybe wrong but i myself use STOCK EX PIPE ON MY TURBO C5 VETTE AND IT TRAPS 145.5!

i also think that a cat back system will alos become more effienct when cupplied w/dp.

just my .02

If u are using 5 inch dp or 3 inches dp, you will need to use the same pip to the muffer otherwise u will have back pressure.. Even with 3 inches dp, it will barely fit on the the 335i car. max pipping under the car would 3 inch each.. total of 3 inches. 2.5 inches will fit perfectly.. U also remember they are using floating valve.. they need some back pressure

Ehhh...how do you suggest that? The cats are in the downpipe, which would be replaced by this aftermarket downpipe. The secondary cats are on the OEM exhaust...which is integrated in a single piece that is about 7.5 feet long. I can't say that I would want to reinstall the OEM DP and exhaust every two years for an emissions test.

+1
DPs without cats but hi flow cats around where secondary cats are now is not a restriction to flow and saves a lot of work later on. Moreover, selling an illegal car that does not clear smog will affect resale value.
