My New BMW Performance Exhaust

Well, it didn't take long for me to check off another item on my wish list for my BMW. As mentioned in my last update, I always wished that I went with a more OEM BMW approach with my car. After about 10 months of running a Rogue Ikon exhaust, I decided it was time for an upgrade.

The BMW Performance line of accessories consists of first class pieces to make anyone's BMW more aggressive and unique. I was so thrilled with the quality and look of my BMW Performance Air Intake that it took me less than a month to add its complementary piece, the BMW Performance Exhaust. This exhaust is a full catback exhaust system that removes the resonator and incorporates a free flowing muffler. The result is an incredible sound coming from an otherwise unassuming inline six cylinder engine. In addition to the mean growl it adds, the BMW Performance Exhaust also improves throttle response, making my 328 feel quicker off the line and in passing situations. My only regret is not buying this system sooner.

Loving that growl! Where did you buy it from? I have been debating on whether I should go for the Magnaflow cat-back setup of the BMW setup.

Did you notice much difference in power and/or sound from the performance intake?

Is the Performance exhaust still fully stainless steel like the regular exhaust system? And it is a bolt-on, no cutting required? Did you install it yourself, or have a shop/dealer do it? I have a lift, so I will probably DIY. Not much chance of issues getting the exhaust apart on a 6mo old car.

I want one of these really, really, really badly. Hopefully getting a little bonus from work soon, will likely be ordering one up.

Everyone always posts the outside the car, starting and reving video. How about one from inside, going through the gears and cruising at various speeds?

Thanks for the vids!

Ordered one, I know what I will be doing on Saturday afternoon. Just in time for my local BMWCCA "Holiday Party" Saturday evening.

There is definitely a noticeable difference with the intake + exhaust in power and throttle response. I couldn't really feel a huge difference with just the intake from a power standpoint and couldn't hear it over my old Rogue exhaust.

Yes, it's fully stainless steel. There is cutting required I believe just behind the catalytic converter. I got it installed at my local BMW dealer.
