Are 193s really 5 lbs lighter than 287s and 162s?

I needed new tires and found it to be significantly more cost effective to buy take offs rather than new tires. As I can't make up my mind, I ended up with one set of 193s and another of 287s from which I am now trying to decide which to keep and which to sell. Both sets have half worn out stock run flat tires. While trying to make my decision I noticed the 193s feel lighter. My bathroom scale says they around 5 lbs lighter than both the 287s and my original 162s. Could this be correct?

Doesn't really surprise me. Some of the BMW wheels are unbelievably heavy. I think 162s are 31lb rear, 30lb front.

Any reason to doubt the scale?

Ummm, let's see... who puts scales in houses? Men? Nah, men don't give a shit as long as their pants fit. A woman put that scale there. Reason enough to doubt it.

Op, FWIW 193 certainly look much lighter than the other wheels you mentioned.
