It would appear that it was a miscommunication the first time, since he's now responded to our concerns about this specific feature's implementation; it would appear now that in fact, the user-defined map switching option (via the RPM Trigger setting in the s/w) will be in v2.0.

Shiv...please correct me if I'm wrong.

You're correct. User can set the trigger rpm right now in V2. The other question was launch control which he said would be a feature added in some later software update of V2.x, but the speed sensor wire is already in the V2 upgrade harness.

We will, however, include the I/O wires necessary to simply activate LC through the software upon release. With a road speed input, it's all really easy stuff.

SO I take it launch control will be available for manuals?

Is the optional dedicated O2 sensor ( 0-5 V ) still in scope for the PROcede ? I don't mind if it will be in a later v2 release ...

BTW, v2 exceeds my expectations up to now, great job !

Thanks
Eugen

How the hell would launch control work with a manual transmission other than the obvious response of 'your own two feet'

Apparently, it is available for EVOs...I've never had the chance to try it, but, my understanding is that it holds the revs to the sweet spot for a perfect launch. This would be very helpful since the lack of an LSD, stupid run-flats, and keeping the revs at the proper place is always an issue. Does anyone know what else it does?

Ahh I see. I woldn't call that launch control, is it really that hard to hold revs?

I will agree that the stock, nonetheless procede, 335 is not the easiest car to launch.

It adjusts the RPMs accordingly all throughout 1st gear so all you would need to do is floor it.
If the 335 6MT were that easy to launch, why is it that nobody with a 6MT can get anything better than a 1.9 60' even with DR's?

really, it adjusts rpms? i should hope launch control in any car does a little more than that and varies the power output, otherwise it would be useless
