The truth is, no matter how many iPhone users there are out there, there is at least 4 times as many of other brands. So, again, why should BMW bother with iPhone users these days?

I would suggest that whilst there may be more Nokia feature phone users than iPhone users out there, the iPhone users are more likely to walk into a BMW showroom and put a deposit down on a brand new set of wheels (or at least sign up to a cheap lease)

It wouldn't be fair. Because in no way am I saying that you can claim BMW is responsible for not catering to your specific brand of mobile phone. And, thanks god, I'm not saying that carrying some brand of mobile phone makes other people think I'm rich.

Sounds like a popcorn thread...but I don't understand anything about all that IT/ Geeky stuff...

All I can say is that I hate all that touch screen crap!....Can't even txt properly! Some of the phones have some sliding finger crap where you don't even need to type...what a load of b*&llocks...IMO of course...

With my nokia I can even txt while i'm driving, without even looking at the screen...Not saying that I do...just want to let you know how easy it is...

Sorry for the off topic rant...

Back on topic!... Apple, Orange, S5, Ipad, iphone, OS5 , gingerbread, interface, .....

And I don't have an iPhone. I have an HTC. So I'm not sure how I can be an Apple fanboy.

Thanks for the info but I don't see the relavence of what phone you have. Anyway this is way off topic. There was another thread about this recently which was much less playgroundy.

The relevance is you were implying I'm an Apple fanboy and I expect everyone to "love Apple unconditionally" when really I have no affiliation to Apple at all and just find the fanboyism amusing on either side of the coin. But you're right, we should probably just leave it.

With Android there are so many versions, so you have to specify, Android 2.0, or 3.2 or 4.1 etc. It would just a be a pain.

We had these discussion back when BMW and Mercedes used Nokia 6310s, those with other Nokias moaned, let alone other brands. If you wanted the on screen stuff on comand or bmw widescreen nav you have to have a 6310i or V70 Motorola, use a Sony and you were fucked.
Then we went bluetooth and all was sorted, still is, but want those advanced features and you have to buy the most popular handset currently sold.

In another 2 years I can see that being an Android phone, and then the iPhone owners will be moaning, but that is just the way it is.

5S looks shite.
After 6 years with an iPhone I am going to try and HTC One and just keep my 4s.
I use Macs as well, but I am using ios7 and it is just ios6 with different colours. It feels old.
