OE 5w-30 isn't full syn? Hm i didn't know that. I run Motul 5w-40 so it's irrelevant for me, but interesting none the less.

Nope, it's a class 3 synthetic, which is a cracked blend they can legally call a full synthetic. I use the Castrol 0w-30 european forumula, a class 4 true synthetic, and it's barely more expensive than the bmw stuff. It's what BMW formerly recommended for all M-cars and is closer in viscosity to a 5W-40 rather than a 0W-30.

For those interested, this is it:

It says made in Germany on the back:

But I bought a set of vargas cause I figure the will go soon, I do not like down time.
This makes me happy! Running at 18psi daily this is amazing- this goes against all these threads that 335i's are unreliable or less so than the 328 should be pointed to this thread!

60k, original turbos, no rattle and tuned for about 5k miles in total, I bought car with 44k miles, so who knows it's previous history.

My friend just blew his turbo apart at I think like 85k or so, running FBO+100% E85+Meth for over 25k miles lol.

65k original turbos. Tuned since 35k. I did have wastegate rattle but I manually adjusted the wastegate, no more rattle. No smoking, and no siren. I will return to stock before 82k miles and adjust my wastegate back so the rattle is present, and attempt to get them replaced under the extended warranty.

Since 117000 to 148 000km today stage 2 and no pb
