Lightbulb WeissLicht Spektrum LED Bulbs?

Does anyone here have any experience with them?
They seem to be a newer offering, so I'm curious to know how they compare to existing stuff from V-LED or Highperformancebulbs.
In particular, I'm looking at the PY24W turn signal (amber) and H11 fog light bulbs for my e92.

I stumbled across it here:

What do you guys think? Any other suggestions are welcome...

We have a similar option (higher quality) coming out soon. I'll see if I can get some teaser info for you guys in the next couple days.

To be honest though, the current high powered option we sell is plenty bright. I had it on my personal car.

I have the new WeissLicht Spektrum Turn Signal bulbs in Amber but haven't installed them yet

I didn't like the old Weisslicht AE LED's they sold with the LED's on the end of arms - but these new turn bulbs looked promising, they were on promo sale when they 1st came out, & they have a Lifetime Warranty - so I thought I'd give them a try...

Jeff - do you sell HID/LED fogs that will not throw an error on a 335 build date 6/07? Will the new option work on this car error-free also?

In our testing with some 2007 vehicles we have had great success with HID kits. However, because of the nature(sensitivity to throwing codes) of 2007 vehicles there is no guarantees so we list them only for 2008+.

Therefore, I recommend getting in touch with someone local who does coding just in case or roll the dice.

I would just get them coded out.

These look like a nice option. Not sure if it fits e9x though...

A h11 led or py24w?

I have the brightest HPB py24y, but I don't mind having a brighter option. My headlights are blacked out, and the turn signal is not as bright anymore due to the blackout.

I have those in another car. Except they are H8. Bright as hell. They are unviersal. Unless the car has a special fitment or clearance issue it fits all cars. I know the BMW doesn't require any special clips, like VW for instance.

I'm not sure if they would throw codes on a BMW though.

They are a brighter PY24W. I'll ask them what's up with them. I know they have them they just haven't listed them or brought them forward to the market yet.

Thanks. I have these when they came out as a reference and so I'm clear.

OK, finally got the Spektrum Turn LED's installed

Had to switch over to the summer wheels/rubber, so it was oppertune time to do the install - since I have to take off front half of wheel well liner to access the bulb on my E92.
  • 5 minutes to remove liner, a simple 1/4 turn of the bulb holder - and the OEM bulb was out.
  • The Spektrums have an upgraded/redesigned base that matches the OEM design exactly - no problem inserting LED into holder, lined up the contacts, pushed in and 1/4 turn back to lock.
  • Very EZ, no fiddling around

Light fills the housing entirely when flashing & MUCH brighter than OEM (I'd say around 3X brighter). I got the Amber version. Of course, because they are LED, the flashing is very quik & crisp. The bulbs are concealed fairly well and not overly noticeable over the OEM bulb when not lit.

I coded out the Front Turn Signal Error Reporting, Cold Check, & Warm Check - so no problems with any flickering upon startup.

I would highly recommend the Spektrum LED Turns as a viable option for front signals

Call me pleasantly surprised, as I have had the Weisslicht LED AE's & Sidemarkers in the past - both were far from optimum - guess they finally got it right with these. Lifetime warranty doesn't hurt either

I think all the versions are on sale right now for $10 off normal price...

Yes those were the brightest available. That's my car in the pictures and video. They are great.

There is a new one coming out; I've been asking HPB to add to site for the past couple weeks but they are just simply swamped. I'll push them again this week to get us some more information.

LED fog lights are much brighter when compared to a regular halogen bulb

I'd have to see any LED bulbs, especially fog lights, in person before I piss away any more cash on an LED lighting solution where brightness and lighting distance counts.

I got my LED turn signals from eBay for $22 shipped, they work great and no errors, perfect fit.. How people pay $80 for turn signals is beyond me..

Will the new ones be brighter than those or comparable to the spectrum?

I wouldn't mind be a guinea pig and compare them to the version I currently have.

We just added them today.

These put out 80 watts of light output but only run at 7-15 Watt of power.

7W as a parking light and 15W as a blinker.

They do not run too hot or melt your housing or any other false accusations Spektrum makes about them.

Ours are also CREE LED, the competition uses Osram and Philips which are good but not as good as CREE.

Amber: http://www.topgearsolutions.com/bmw-...al-lights.html

That looks awesome! I need to buy a pair.

Is it better to do it through you or through the website?

Also, two questions...

Is the white led brighter than Amber?
Would the white led match the color of OSS v4 rings?

Thanks again for the info of the product.

The white LED is about as pure white as you can go without getting a blue tint or hue to develop. These coupled with my white LED front turn signals and DEPO LED side markers was enough to trip the low voltage bulb out warning. If you do what I did, turn off the bulb warm and cold checks and everything will be back to normal. It has to be coded out if you go to a full LED system so if you don't know how to code, find someone in your area that will do it for a 6 pack or something.
