Need some help: ER charge pipe install
So when reading, this seemed to be an easy install. Of course I would run into some problems. Hopefully they are small though. I have everything off and when trying to install the ER charge pipe, the clip seems not to be wanting to clip on. I have taken a picture here:
20140705_115540 by nathanahodge, on Flickr 20140705_115602 by nathanahodge, on Flickr 20140705_115611 by nathanahodge, on FlickrI transferred over the clip and also gasket. I can't open the clip up enough to slide on the pipe. Also, how are the diverter valves supposed to be mounted? I have the forged diverter valves. A picture would tell the story. I bought the pipe used and the instructions from ER was not included. Any help would be greatly appreciated as the car is down. Thanks |

What do you mean you can't open the clip enough? Take it off all together, seat the ER pipe on the throttle body, then slip the C-Clip over it. Simple.
I can't speak to the DVs as I don't run them.

So the c clip slides on the exterior? Didn't envision that. The OEM clips on the inside. Do you have a picture?

C-Clip is definitely supposed to be on the exterior. OEM is on the exterior as well. Ill grab a pic if I can find one.

You can then slide it on loosely on the outside of the chargepipe so its sticking out an inch or so. Then connect to the throttle body. Lastly, slide the clip fully on and it will lock to the indentation on the throttle body. You will understanding what I am saying if you line up the chargepipe to the throttle body with the clip completely off. It will make sense. ![]()

and your forge diverter valves should be mounted so the logos are facing each other, i.e. not upwards.
