Have you heard of the level 10 upgrade? this is supposedly the strongest box upgrade and most guys still manage to lunch them with a decent ST setup

Apparently when you go big power the MT is the safest option as it handles the torque more effectively...
Yep heard of the level 10 - true the MT is probably the better option when you start exceeding 650-700nm of torque at the wheels

It's unfortunate the 335i came with the lower rated ZF 6HP21 box. The BF/FG xr6 and F6 came with the ZF 6HP26 and it can take a beating. Although I have a few mates that have broken the input shafts on it, but the 4LT straight 6 Barra engines pump enormous torque even with factory turbos (850-900nm) when boosted, so does still require strengthening or it will eventually give way. I don't really have huge HP goals, looking to run around 350rwkw with high flowed twin turbo setup, so I still have the OEM look, but I think even with that sort of power the car will start producing maybe 700nm at the wheels, which may become problematic for the stock box, so that's why doing the research. I know Nizpro in Melb do some good work and now the other member also recommends RVO

At those power levels and with adequate traction, it would pull mid 10s over the quarter. Have the engine internals been upgraded or are they still stock?

They haven't locked in pricing as yet, it will vary depending on whether or not they use a brand new OEM turbocharger as the core or machine the housings and customise the CHRA from a re-manufactured set.

However I dare say they will cost a bit more than RB's as Pure are alluding to custom cartridge internals in an effort to address some of the reliability issues that have plagued RB's and VTT turbochargers in the past.

If you're on FB like their page. I know 100% for a fact they have a dyno plot of their stage 2 setup!

Have you looked on the BB forum?

Found it on Facebook! Thank you.. Holy shit ballz!! Now were talking! Going to need a shotgun hpfp setup to run those numbers on E85!
The poor stock Automatic on track is not going to last long.
I can see myself spending another $10-20k if i go this route lol

Yes i forgot about that option, and a very good one.. Nice way to never have to clean the valves again as well, so it would pay for itself in about 15yrs lol
