I am under the impression that , for the money, I can't get more reliable power than what I get installing the V2. The Dinan costs more, the SSTT costs less and offers supposedly less power, the JB2 is less $ and less power, so I guess the V2 is the right thing, right?

i put V2 in the car last week and am in love with it. Had a few friends drive it and they were blown away by the torque. Def go with it, just be sure to take your time with the install so that you don't screw any of the connections up. goodluck!

Just a question about the V2, do you have to take it out before you go to BMW for service so you don't screw up the warranty? It just seems like a hassle that you have to unplug it everytime you need to go get a oil change or service.

I agree with you, V2 is a great tune... remember my disclaimer in my first post about why someoe will bash it

to be safe yes... the fact is for most service items you don't need to take it out, but you're talking about a very valuable warranty so better safe than sorry. I can get mine in and out in 15 minutes now. the first time took 45 mins, 15 minutes is pretty hassle free though

this has been discussed over and over and over again. basically it all boils down to a few things. if youre dealer / SA / tech is cool about mods, you'll be in good shape. on that note, theres been MANY stories of super cool dealers. a good way to gauge this is to go into your dealer and ask the SA what he thinks about piggybacks or tunes and just ask them straight up about warranty issues.

they CAN void your warranty for having the piggyback, so its sort of a risk you're gonna wanna take if you do decide to put it in. but to be honest, i wouldnt worry too much about oil changes and small fixes.

helix has not had fewer CEL issues than procede, they just limited it to a few beta testers and that is why no one on this forum has that tune in production form but I did read of people getting CEL and they were on 93 at that... why would you think someone could possibly count on that being more likely to be CEL free with far fewer current users?

Anyone know any BMW service dealers around LA that are cool with piggyback and mods?
