If you think you have the skills,is do it,I was looking to swap a 535 exhaust on my car as an upgrade seeing the n54 cars are bigger in diameter, but the loss of torque would be gained in hp. I still say go for it

So I measured the M4 pipes today... They are 2.5" OD like the AFe mid pipes some are running. Considering that, I don't think the dual would be that inefficient. Especially if I cut out the muffler and make the smaller pipe the primary exit (I.e. Tune with the actuator bypass valves).
I'm going to check a few more numbers and see how much it would cost me to make this bolt to the headers. Comparing the stock exhaust I think it will be around $200 +welding time. I might do it just for a lighter weight track exhaust. I really appreciate those who make the forum a community for discussion. |
