Who is to say that Chevy wont counteract the GTRVspec (if its faster) with a pulley change? I know the traction limits of the ZR1 are approaching, but they could up the HP and add a spoiler for more downforce.

Yes and Nissan could put bigger turbos in, blah blah blah.

You release a car first, prepare for the next car from your competitors to beat you.

I've been a Skyline fan since like 98', so even though this GT-R doesn't come in stick, it's nice to see a $70k car running those numbers. I just have a thing against Vettes and most domestics. I mean, you go buy a $100k+ Vette and it has the same interior of a car 1/4 the price, and shared a lot of parts with economy cars. Don't get me wrong, it's a fast car, and has a great engine, but horsepower doesn't = good cars IMHO.
And I see interior knobs and parts from Lambo's that are straight out of Audi's that you can get for 1/4 price. What's the difference?

And what exactly is so great about the Nissan GTR's interior compared to other cars that cost 70k? It looks like a 20k interior with a fancy computer screen. Flimsy plastic all over the place. Buttons that look straight out of the 80's. If it didn't have that computer screen I'd say that the GTR's interior is just as bad as any C6 or above Corvettes. In fact I think it's at that level right now.

I like the Corvette because it doesn't need Electronics to be sick. Nissan can make a marginally faster car at a marginally better price but I don't really care. All this talk about the V-Spec(ulation) is just talk. Let's see how much faster they'll actually be able to make it. The Corvette is more of a pure machine than the new GTR ever will be. Electronics in cars suck, as in the new M5/M6, just overly complicated crap. I'm not a fan. Faster times doesn't always translate to better car. Driving should be about driving, not fiddling with electronics. That's just my opinion. I'd take the old GTR over this one.

When many regard Audi to have better fit and finish than BMW or Mercedes do you feel that Lamborghini using their parts bin such a bad thing, it not like GM cars which use part and switch from RadioShack.

Most people who have tested and seen the GTR say it's interior quality is up there with the Germans, namely Porsche. I haven't seen the latest Corvette but I did sit in the C5 and I would class it interior up there with KIA, maybe interior quality isn't that important to so people in the States but to those that it does they generally drive European.

Old or new, the GTR has always been "electronic-heavy" since R32 generation.
