Interesting complaint, as I personally do not want audio to begin playing automatically. Sounds like it works the way you want it to sometimes, but not always?

1) iD7 does not have a wired carplay option
2) Rear suspension thump (had rear strurt replaced but think its back) 3) Cannot show boost, oil temp/pressure, trans temp on main display between speedo and tach 4) Does not have drive mode memory and always starts in comfort 5) Did not offer moonroof delete from factory |

I actually put this as one of my gripes too. For one, sometimes it does not connect wirelessly. Also, it would be nice if my passenger could plug in and use apple carplay for navigating or music purposes without have to add the device wirelessly (i.e. if my wife wanted to connect).

With ID8, when you start the car and begin your trip, the little picture of the car showing which passengers are wearing their seatbelts covers up the selected drive mode so you don’t know which drive mode you’re in.
Also, ID8 is great and the quality of the display is 10/10, but they’re SO bright at night. Yes there is a rotary dial to dim all screens, HUD and interior buttons, but I don’t want to dim the buttons. I can adjust the main screen “brightness at night”, but there is no way to dim the instrument cluster at night independently too. |

Yes. For instance, I have an old iPhone that just has music on it and 99% of the time, that's what I use to play music in my car. But I'd say 50% of the time, the car starts playing audio from my current iPhone even if I was listening to music from the other phone when I turned the car off.

I hadn’t noticed lag when skipping tracks but now I will. Shouldn’t have asked lol Does wireless CarPlay negatively impact the audio quality? |

Wireless carplay is a battery drain, that’s why if ur also charging it heats the phone Charger pad is completely useless in my opinion, in fact i never used it, charges slow and melts the phone |

Too bad the wireless charger can’t be switched off/on manually.
And why have a USB-A port in that spot if it can’t be used for wireless CarPlay? Nearly spilled some coffee in that port the other day. Silly placement. |
