I think that's the offroad/catless header tune. If you just get it tuned with stock manifolds it will be fine.

Just let them know you have N51 with factory installed 3 stage
Thanks for the info and link!

I'm reading this on that page and am a bit confused as I live in California.

Californians cannot buy this tune?

I had the custom dyno AA tune--

Actually I had AA stage 1, the OTS header tune and a custom one.

Couldn't complain BUT there seems to be better options now.

Dug up old FS thread stating it required trimming of about 3 inches.

Just get both sections

SS1 and SS2.
I did PE and SS mid pipes and that is true, you need to cut one of the SS mid pipe to properly align pipes together (I believe the shorter mid pipe needs cutting). It is better to weld OEM Y-pipe to SS mid pipes, simply because they are not aligned straight (SS mid pipes is not a OEM BMW part) and using BMW clamps will result in a leak down the road. Some do just clamps, but welding it is a failsafe method imho

I wonder if 0-60 is faster in 1st gear or 2nd gear now that you have a bpc tune?

Hello,
Currently I’m trying to lightly modify my e90 it’s got a n51 and I’m looking to do MILVS a cold air intake and a muffler delete. Eventually I wanna do hi-flow cats but not rn any ideas for a tune I could use to get the max amount of power while still enjoying my reliability? Also I have the GM auto transmission is their a tune I could possibly get for it to be a little quicker?
Thanks

Stage FP is the original pioneer and an option, and you'll want a transmission tune from XHP

What are the tune options still available for the N51 in 2024?

The engine has been very reliable but I feel like the powerband has deadspots. The engine just is not as "perky" as other BMW engines.

Rumor is that a tune really wakes up the engine.

StageFP is still the best HP wise. Though I heard Active Autowerke is smoother?
