I had the same thing happen to me many years ago. It was really just a case of an overzealous cop trying to bust a young driver in a BMW. He said his reason for pulling me over was the engine noise.

Of course, I received no ticket as the car was 100% clean. But he was fishing for anything that he could find that would warrant a ticket.

Here is some advice.... The only time you should offer up information is in THIS SPECIFIC SCENARIO if you have been driving fast.

Cop: do you know why i pulled you over.
You: was I driving a lil fast officer.........

Dont mention your plates, for all he knows...it just recently flew off and you had NO IDEA, or the screws were loose so you keep it in the front seat. DONT volunteer information that he/she might have no clue about.

and use OFFICER all day. in fact, even if you FART... you say, excuse me officer...

You're absolutely right....I always speak with respect cause it's the only way to get any positive results out of getting pulled over. I dunno what happened this time....I completely lost it! Oh well...live n learn.

never ever admit to anything

why self-incriminate yourself?

if they ask "do you know why I pulled you over?"

answer politely and respectfully, but without admitting to anything

as Haywire said, if your bumped has been drilled, you can keep the plate in your car and say that the screws are loose

Guess what...........yup that's right....I got pulled over again today!!! I got a no plate ticket again. What a whore! Even though I just got a ticket a week ago she still had the nerve to give me another one. I have never been issued a ticket while deeling with another one concerning the same issue. I even had the other ticket to prove it. I know I know it's my own fault...blah blah blah...I know...i need to vent......but still.......what a WHORE!

How come you just don't put the plate on and save the trouble?

and youre right, the 335s turbos are so fucking quiet he must have super man's ears to hear them...

I felt bad for you the FIRST time, LoL.... You gotta put on your plate dude! The first copper, jackass, FOR SURE! The officer could have easily given you a write up, and a warning ticket in which you have 72 hours to get the plates on your car, which then has to be examined and validated by the po po at any police station. The cop comes out, looks at your car to make sure the plates are on and then they void the pending ticket.

Plates are ugly, no doubt.... but thats just the way things work, gotta play by the rules, right?! I have one suggestion for you tho, for the plates. You hate them obviously, but why not just make the most of having one. shop around for a nice cover or border for your plate and buy some custom plates or something to jazz it up a bit.

its really the only thing you can do, other than pay hundreds of dollars for senseless tickets and driving yourself nuts, venting on the forums.

Or move to quebec, LoL.
