Hi all,

Anyone had any experience doing this with the Bimmergeeks Pro tool or any advice on how i can disable the bulb check errors using this application?

Ive enabled the following codes but still receiving failure notifications.

ERR_SCHWENK_L_IGNORIEREN
ERR_SCHWENK_R_IGNORIEREN

KALTUE_FL_M2_6_M1_04
WARMUE_FL_M2_6_M1_04

If anyone has any advice or could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated?

Hey Jvictormp,

Did you have any luck finding a solution?
I'm having the same error and problem you had on my late 2007 E93 335.

I've made all the following changes suggested by users in this thread but still the constant "Cornering light failure!" error persists.

FRM2_E89 Footwell Module

Nicht Activ
KALTCHECK_E89_FL__E7x_NSW
KALTCHECK_E89_NSW__E7x_FL
WARMCHECK_E89_FL_E7x_NSW
WARMCHECK_E89_NSW__E7x_FL
KLS_BEI_AL_AKTIV
ALC_SCHWENK_LATCH

Activ
ERR_SCHWENK_L_IGNORIEREN
ERR_SCHWENK_R_IGNORIEREN

Some trivia:
This error started for me after condensation issues fried my left headlight, I replaced ballust and active headlight controllers with aftermarket eBay versions and siliconed the crap out of the headlight to not face the condensation issue again. Guessing I had a not great controller but no way I'm opening it all up again now. Praying someone has a soluton to this constant and annoying error message

I can't remember the code exactly now, but you need to disable to adaption lights completely. It's just two lines.

I don't know if it disables auto-height or lighting power adaption or something, but there is no warning anymore.

When I replace the ballast control module, I turn it on again.

Thanks for your reply, it helped me to know what to search for. much appreciated.

For future ref anyone searching... this worked for me to code out Adaptive headlights with FRM2_E89 Footwell module are as follows:

Set to Nicht Aktive:
ALC_FAHRZEUG
ALC_KLS_ENABLE

I no longer have the cornering light error finally ! :-)

Thanks this is useful, do you know if it codes out all adaptive headlight functions? or any of the lights auto functions?

it's also likely you don't have any adaptive headlights anymore.

old thread, i know, but i just went through it.

when i coded all the items in this thread to Nicht Aktive, yes, the cornering light error goes away. But that is because the cornering lights themselves are part of "adaptive headlights", and coding out adaptive headlights disables the cornering lights (and presumably any check on them). that means the main low beams will no longer swivel left/right with the steering wheel, and whatever else adaptive headlights do.

for me, all my bulb checks were already set to Nicht Aktive, except high beam checks, which were set to Aktive. once i set the "ignore corner fault" setting to Aktive, and set high beam checks to Nicht Aktive, my corner light fault went away (i have led h3's in there) and i retain the adaptive headlights.

for anyone out there who wants led's in the cornering lights, but also want them to actually turn on, without error warnings, and with all the rest of adaptive headlight functions, that's the way to do it.

Yes my solution completely disables the adaptive light function (the lights themselves work they just no longer turn).

Glad you could get the errors to go away while retaining the adaptive function. I tried that way but it didn't work for me (I think because the source of my error is likely a defective adaptive controller board)

After trying all the other methods, I used the logic in your method to make it work on my E82 135i while still having the use of the AHL feature. Thank you.
