Mysterious problems
Hello everybody this is my first post on these forums.
Feeling kinda lost with my current situation with my 2009 BMW e91 330d N57. Bought the car last October the millage is 275000km. Previous owner had done a lot to the car and changed the timing chains and the crankshaft bearings and other things. Car has been running great with no issues since I bought it but now it has started to develop weird problems. Firstly the fuel consumption has jumped a lot, when I bought it the consumption was around 5.5 to 6l/100km now I am lucky to get 8. This all started like 3 weeks ago. The car has a kind off a jerking feeling when driving around the city with no acceleration at low rpm. I was thinking it was the dpf regenerating but I also noticed that my oil level has dropped from max to 50% in the past month but there is no smoking or visible leaks. What weirds me out that the fuel consumption issue is random some days it is insanely high the car is jerking but I had to drive 300 miles 2 days back and it was running on like 4.5l/100km with no jerking and then on the way back it started again. I don't know if this even matters but this all started in concisely with lower weather temps. Hopefully somebody can give me some pointers cause this just doesn't make sense to me. |
