Just flashed that file but get the 2FA4 error, do you have any ideas what it might be: FYI I've been at this for hours/days trying to work out which power class byte to change and tried a good few .bin files which all give me the 2FA4; which byte did you change for the power class? This has been a massive learning curve for me! EDIT: It doesn't look like I can send you a PM to share my VIN Last edited by dt99; 04-11-2025 at 05:25 AM.. |

Also, did the error pop up after you clear the error? Have you flashed RSA delete first? Before you flash 0da you have to flash RSA delete first The power class byte for MSV70 is 0x2191 |

For info here is a picture of my DME: Yes I have flashed the RSA delete, and have tried clearing the code. Might be worth trying the RSA delete again and starting from scratch? EDIT: As a quick test I downloaded the .bin for the 2.5i tune I'm running, converted that back to an .0da file and flashed that to the DME and only had the 2FA3 error so does that suggest the RSA delete is all working as it should? Theoretically you should just flash the 7581341.0da without having changing anything https://drive.google.com/file/d/1x7L...ew?usp=sharing How long did it take for you to do the RSA delete? was it successful? Here is the RSA delete file zip for convience https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-Gs...ew?usp=sharing Try factory reset with Factory Coding profile with NSCExpert (I assume you know how) Also do codierdaten_lesen after factory coding. Read what is the value of OLULCODIERUNG Also, go to INPA and choose MSV70, go to F3 AIF and check what is your DME assembly no. best if you can have a screenshot or photo of this page. Just flashed the 7581343 and so far so good! No 2FA4 error! Not had a chance to take it for a drive yet so will update after that but looking very promising!
I was trying to run the 7581342 file before which was giving the error - is that not a 2.5si file? Out of interest how do you know which file is for which engine spec as most of them on bimmerlabs have no details on them? Super grateful for your help on this! EDIT: Looks like previous post was just updated with a different file number, but won't get round to trying that tomorrow. |

I've compared the bin file with 7581341(ZB Number 7581342) and they look almost identical. All I can sure 7581341 is for 2.5si is from the note of rjahl and bimmerlabs. Please see if you can share the ZB number from INPA and power class in 6MBOT, that will definitely solve the puzzle Last edited by ivanchen1211; 04-11-2025 at 01:44 PM.. |

Update, 7581343 is for 2.5si but in realoem it stated
"For vehicles with Power reduction S843A=Yes" (7581343=updated version of 7573404) Wonder if your FA/VO has 843 option? So ZB number 7581342(updated 7573402) looks more promising. Can you share your car build date from realoem(Enter the vin and let it detect)? Last edited by ivanchen1211; 04-11-2025 at 03:15 PM.. |

The info from INPA is below: When I flash this file I get the 2FA4 error: Here is my DME info from realOEM based on my VIN (build date is 07/2006, RHD, EUR): I'm assuming because I have an assembly number of 7871824 and this matches one of the non-low compression engine DME part numbers I have a non-low compression engine? Again, thanks for your help! Does this give any indication as to what the 2.5si tune options are? |

that will affect the coding, it's strange that OLUCODIERUNG is 00, should have a reason. |

No error codes (not even the 2FA3 one). Drives nicely. Definitely faster! Thank you so so much! This might be able to help out quite a few 2.5i owners looking to fit a 3 stage manifold (I've seen a few posts on it in this thread and other forums). |
