Not case of sharing having been cloned once before on an old car I now make sure I dont ever upload pics with a number plate, too easy for some WNK to sweap my website or host and find pics of cars with plates,

its not hard to get fake plates while its now official illegal to even make show plates in UK theres plenty of ways to get some its always safest to not display it as you never know,
I've know of dealers searching throug forums to get out of warranty repairs no reason why a determined band of crooks wouldnt do the same in order to clone a car far easier can be done from comfort of home |

I don't know where they got the number plate from, but they obviously had to find a matching one for the car that they had stolen, as a number plate search brings up the exact make and model. Easiest way to find these number plates would obviously be the BMW approved used site or Autotrader. The point I was making that it takes very little time to delete the registration from any photos posted, so makes sense to do so just in case.

in the past on a vag forum it was proven as dealer got caught out at one point them going through posts to see if cars been remapped etc in order not to caugh up warranty
