Spooled, you're in Delray. What dealership did you purchase from?
You should have had your car already. Did you call your CA? I'd be lighting a fire under someone's @ss. |

I almost purchased from Ft. Lauderdale. They were the only ones with 335i's to test drive. They had like 10 auto coupes on the lot and one manual(which I test drove) when I went down there. The CA was nice and I gave him every opportunity, but he fell about $1,100 short of the price I was getting elsewhere.
I felt bad initially considering I wouldn't have purchased the car without test driving it and he made that possible. Then I though about how much money I was saving. Suddenly, I didn't feel bad any more ![]() Good luck. I'm sure you'll get yours soon. It's well worth the wait. Then, you'll end up buying $250 in detailing equipment. There's a great thread on detailing your new BMW here : http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9145 |

got mine today - it arrived on Monday but they wanted time to "get it ready." Anyway, it came with the wrong wood - walnut instead of poplar. I don't care that much, but it's interesting that BMW was in error - since the 1800 number people read off the options to me when I couldn't find them on OC. They listed poplar as the selected wood. The sticker says walnut and the car is walnut.
With terra and SG it might be a better choice anyway - any thoughts? The car had 0.9 miles on it (I know they reset the odo) and the paint's perfect. I bought the $400 5 year tire and wheel insurance (no deductible) since I have the sport package and I live in Milwaukee - lots o' pot holes! Worth the wait, that's for sure. |

i think they can order the correct trim for you if you want... i got the tire warranty as well! Believe it was money well spent. As if the other $48,000 wasn't?

Frightening in wet
So, to respect my new engine, I'm only using up to about 1/3 throttle - maybe 1/2. It's been raining all day (so roads should just be wet - not oily and wet like they are at the storm onset). I'm turning onto the onramp, in Drive, and I give it about 1/3 throttle. Instant wheelspin, oversteer, DSC correction, and the wife just about puts her nails through the leather seat!
The 255 35R18 performance tires are like furniture sliders when it's wet and cold (was about 40 degrees). I usually drive an LR3 and I can't break it loose with full throttle on the same curve in the wet. I don't plan on driving the 335i in snow or sleet, but I'm amazed at the caution needed on wet cold roads. Instead of trading in my 2000 Range Rover, I thought I would keep it for snowy days and drive the 335i (with performance tires) on all reasonable weather days. I'm beginning to rethink my decision - not because I can't restrain myself on corners in the wet - but because I worry about handling in an emergency. Any thoughts? ![]() |
