Yes that was a few months back. They have completely changed that procedure since the recent recall. No TeileClearing or PUMA authorization needed.

Are you sure this is work was not done due to the three recalls for the N54: one for HPFP, one for software and one for injectors?

I love when dealers give you this BS and make it sound like they did you a favor. They did this to your car because of the recall. As soon as the dealer read your key, they new what to do code or not.

He had codes in his car for a failing fuel pump, that's why they replaced it.

My first hpfp went out very traditionally. I had long cranks which got longer. Then I would get CEL's while driving, especially with acceleration or hills. Finally started stumbling at times and BMW replaced.

My second hpfp was confusing. I only had my replacement a couple thousand miles. I added Procede and ran into issues a few days later that I couldn't figure out. No long cranks but I did have a gas smell at times. It was confusing and my car had already been written as modded by BMW. A local shop (Topspeed) figured it out for me. So I guess tunes can slightly confuse these confusing hpfp's.

Thats just it I would have never known I had a fuel pump code if it was not for the AP. Even if it was failing slowly.

Rob got me up and running in a day, with the new Beta Firmware on the AP. The car feels different than it did with the old pump, maybe the car is running richer with the new pump because it feels slower. I will have to do some data logs to see. My idle has also changed to 700 RPM's instead of like 550 . More gas is better than no gas I guess.
