As far as I know, most shops do not include that in their prices. The vinyl cost extra, so there is more of a cost for the shop. The other tint shops i worked at never did this, i brought this to my boss and he said well if we can kame 30 to 40 more for the vinyl then we will charge that. So that is where that stands. i dont need to advertise this shop we do way more than enough to have to advertise it on here. i was just showing the lights we did for a custy and this got blown way up.

I think the angels look great, and if you fixed the exposure on the pic, the headlight shot would look way better.
FYI, all the NY/NJ shops I got quotes from knew of the issues with the dot matrix as well as comfort access interference on late model BMW's. You should know that too of course. Like I said, and i just confirmed actually, that all the quotes had the price of vinyling the dot matrix added in because they know its one of 2 ways, besides painting, to get this right. Why would you tint the dot matrix and not vinyl it knowing that the custy will be back to have it re-done? |

I'm not sure how you can't include the cost of vinyl/paint/glue into the price of tinting a BMW rear window since it is required. This reminds me of pricing out things like rear PDC in a Honda/Acura. It'll say $250 for the PDC, but as soon as you check the box you get another popup telling you that the install kit (required) is another $250. Why don't they just say that PDC is $500? Pricing tint that way just pisses off the customer when they come back and see the top peeling before it even leaves the shop. |

Sounds good ceb, will pass on to owner, i mean definately a valid point from both of ya. The tint has never peeled off a dot matrix for me and i have been tinting on and off since 94, the boss even longer, all depends on how u prep, when it dries it evens out all the way across. But will try and talk the boss into it, but u know what they say, can't teach an old dog new tricks.. thanks for all the comments guys
