If I decide not to keep my car till it dies, I would at least be able to tell the potential buyer the actual car history. What anyone leasing is doing is basically pulling a fast one on the next customer by hiding the true history of the car from the dealership, which is in turn, unknowingly hiding the true history of the car from the next owner. It's just shady is all.

It is the way of the BMW scene these days. You would be surprised how many of the cars on this site are leased.

It is the only way for some to get into BMW. A car otherwise they could not afford to actually purchase or if they have the money, they don't want to tie it up in a large down payment.

BMW puts themselves in this situation, by making their lease rates much more affordable than other German car makers.

Garage List
???

Some of us want to buy a used car. Nothing to do with what we can afford and what we cant. I think if you want to mod the car - buy it.

What dealer do you take it to? So they service it with everything installed?

Thats crazy, those secondary cars are probably $3000 to replace.

Also to all the lease haters, even if you bought your car, tune it, and then decide to sell it, will you disclose in your ad, or to potential buyers that your car has been modded, raced, supercharged, etc? If you are willing to lose most of the average potential buyers, and take a big hit on the sales price, then you truly are an honest person, if not, you are in the same boat as most everyone else. Only difference is instead of having to sell the car to some unsuspecting buyer, most leases get returned, checked, and are given an extended warranty to cover most major potential problems in the future.

My 07 335 was a lease, ran tune only for 3 years. returned my car and the receptionist was the girl that checked my car. All was good by her standards. had broken tail light, stock exhaust was 2 inches further in (anybody else would of saw that), broke a bunch of little shit and owed 10 on it for the miles (52,000 miles on a 36,000). They ate the 10 gave me another 335i with really good payments

you will be fine
