Lets see an X-drive drop

I just switched to an X-drive coupe ( from my rwd 335i coupe) and i need to drop this thing soon (spring). it sits pretty high for a sports car and i realize thats beneficial for crappy roads and clearance but i would like to see how this car looks like with H&R sport springs or similar. can we see some pics? i wouldnt want a slammed look, but instead a stock 335 rwd look.

Try the Photo/Media gallery, bro. I'm sure there's some stuff over there (I know there is, just haven't searched lol).

Since there is no difference appearance wise between a x-drive and a non x-drive (aside from the fender badges) then what you are really saying is "show me a picture of a stock 335i."

no, what i am saying is that X-drive equiped cars have a ton of clearance -stock ( may more so than a rwd 335) they look like monster trucks ( when compared to a rwd) because the suspension is completely diff. so when one is dropping an awd 335 i want to see if it will look slammed or not and what they used to acheive that appearance.

H&R OE would bring it down to e92 with sport I believe and sport springs would be lower. H&R site will tell you how much is drops. XI is about 1" higher than e92 with sport...........do the math. Thats what i should have done..coming from S4. This e92s traction control is ALWAYS kicking in. If I switch it off all I hear is squealing.

So your real question isn't about photos but "what do I need to do to lower a x-drive to the ride height of a 335i non x-drive?"

A dropped 335 x-drive will look just like stock 335i if you use a mild drop

thats is pretty much the reason i switched to awd. i was heavily modded on my steptronic 09 335i coupe and when i turned the traction off it chirped and squeeled like there is no tomorrow. it just didnt let me apply the power, whereas this awd 335 coupe on stick with the traction off applies all the power i command it to apply. as far as the pics, i just want to see how low h&R sport/race springs go in comparison to the eibach, etc. i can use my imagination but i wouldnt want to put the money down on something that i am iffy about

335i ZSP suspension is most likely what he meant.

no, my question is about photos. Hence the "lets see an x-drive drop". i know what i need to do to lower my car, i just want to see how dropped my car will look with a given suspension adjustment (e.g eibach, H&R sport/race)

i realize that a dropped xdrive car will look similar to a rwd 335 if you throw in the "mild drop" factor, but there are many way you can drop a 335, i just want to see what suspension set up does what....

yea i have sport on both the rwd and awd 335's i owned. I am leaning more towards H&R sport and bilstien shocks but i might go the v1/v3 route. i just need to see and hear the user experiences that people had with the above mentioned.

so is the rear. in all, the xdrive sits well above the ride height of the rwd... the rwd right height is ideal for me.

So annoying.

I'd like to see some pics too.

I have the x-drive and there is a ridiculous amount of wheel gap...unlike the non-xdrive sport package.

Curious to see photos of an x-drive dropped on springs as well.

My M-sport on H&R coils.

http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2713...yt?vhost=rides

this picture was taken the day the coils were installed. after some time the coils settled a bit more and the ride became too harsh. I had it raised and it now sits slightly higher than in the picture.

To come.....

I have a brand new set of SF-71s still in boxes that I'll be getting painted gloss black for the summer.

you know? i dont really need the adjustability factor, but what else can i benefit from if i do the coilovers as opposed to the bilstein shocks and H&R springs?
