my friend has an e60 2009 model with a normal small screen that doesn't have a navigation system in it
1.so if i need to retrofit it with the CIC will i need to change the dashboard trim? or the basic parts are enough? if not then which parts will i need? 2. if i install the CIC will i need to keep the naviagtion CD always in the dvd player so i can use the navigation or once i store in it the maps i wont need the CD in it anymore? 3. if i find another e60 with a CIC that has got into an accident and get all the parts from it and fit it in my friends car will that work? im sorry if these questions are too much but we are really considered to retrofit it thank you

Need help with e90 upgrade from CCC iDrive
Hi, I've been scraping together parts and have the following parts in blue. I was looking for installation guide and came across your post.
- CIC head unit - CID High Definition screen - CID video cable - USB cable - USB port Can you tell me which of the following I absolutely need still? - iDrive controller (I can't use the one from CCC?) - CID power connector (Is this different from CCC?) - US Navigation maps (Downloading now... hopefully dvd burn will work) I would like your activation/coding service for Navigation FSC, Voice control and DVD-in-motion, which you said you can do remotely, correct? Do you use the K+DCAN cable for activation? I have that, if yes. At the moment I cannot PM you because I just joined the board. After the 5 post and 24-hours wait requirement, I will PM you. Thank you!  |
