I just hope you didn't purchase a BT cable at a discounted price when you bought the JB3.. otherwise you're going to be out a lot of money if you return the JB3!

sorry, but I personally don't see the point of this boost gauge.

So exactly how much boost does the Half-tank gas line give you? All you see is the gas tank needle moving. Wow big deal.....whoopieee. There is no actual number to tell you what the psi or boost is. Is the 2/3 gas tank line like 15 psi or what.

I'd rather monitor how much gas I have left. its nice to know that you can do this but its not a real boost gauge and its kinda pointless

The miles till empty still works fine, and if you want you can just switch out of boost gauge mode and use it like a gas gauge by double-tapping the hazard button.

In this case: 1/2 tank = 10psi, 3/4 tank = 15psi, full tank = 20psi. And everything in between is pretty easy to figure out with half a brain (each notch is 1psi). It'll be a very sweet deal when when the peak hold/recall feature is implemented. far from pointless and essentially no different than a normal mechanical boost gauge.

There are definitely actual numbers. Each marked division on the fuel gauge is 1 PSI from 1 to 20 PSI. I cant see how it could match better and it is the same as for any analogue boost gauge.

that is a good idea. originally I thought the digital display would be best, but this is pretty cool. regarding the peak recall feature, perhaps that part could be displayed digitally. then you make both camps happy, and the actual boost level is never interrupted.

Ran a track event this weekend with the boost display enabled. Although, I don't usually spend much time looking down at my gauges on the track (trying not to crash), it was reassuring to see the boost feedback during the straightaways. Way to go Shiv, keep up the great work!

Will the barometric offset have any effect on the readout? I just installed the firmware and when I hit the hazard button twice the needle went to 0 but when I revved it nothing happened. Can't road test it as we are in the middle of an electric storm.

You really can't build much boost by revving an engine. You need to drive it to get suffienr load. When u do, it will work as intended.

It's quite simple Newb.

Half tank 10 PSI
Full tank 20 PSI
3/4 Tank 15 IS

What's so hard.

Anyone notices that this meter acts just like the economy or MPG meter in teh non turbo cars.

Ever notice that the more throttle you apply, the more boost you get, hence, the less MPG you get?

So what if this is just an economy meter that is said to be a boost gauge.

It's not, otherwise it wouldn't follow the boost readings folks have seen on their dedicated boost gauges (i.e. rixter, etc.)
