iDrive editing would open up a whole different market for people who don't even care about tuning their car. Just think about something like a V1 display on the idrive screen instead of having a concealed display velcro'd to your dash.

I sure hope Jim C (Turner MotorSports?) have ordered thousands of new (USB enabled) SharkInjectors ..... . The demand for this product is going to be overwhelming

I could be wrong but i dont think there will be much we could do as far as editing the maps... Maybe someone that is very skilled could make a map but i would think to make a custom map taylored to your vehicle you will need a dyno, you would need to monitor timing, boost, and AFR's... Im sure we will be able to make little changes to boost and such but to really extract the most HP from your car it will need to be tuned on a dyno...IMO... Good thing is you could go to your local tuning shop and have them custom tune your car with your mods...

I am going to contact Mr. Conforti and get my hands on this and speak to him in regards to what will be necessary to custom tune people's car's for them.

Hey, we are referring to the new master of the universe as "Jim", so I figure we're all on a first name basis here. I'm Mark.

+1 on the first names. I would rather refer to people by their first name if they are constantly posting..... (Kyle here....)

The cool thing is that you will not need your own injector hardware (unless you want it). You can just visit Kyle or malekreza11 or whoever your local Shark 'dealer' is and they can program you. And keep programming you every week with the newest and latest.

I don't mind paying Jim C. a couple / few hundred bucks for my own *USB enabled* Injector

Sorry if my signature made people think otherwise. But, now that you mention it I might have to pay that 1000 bucks and start programing these for people....

Jim-
The OBDII sounds great! My question is how does the OBDI SharkEdit work, since traditionally it is a chip swap in those cases? I have a 94 325is as well and would be interested in this, say, if I ever did an M3 cam swap. Supposedly, the AutoThority chip I am running is aggressive enough to run the M3 cams, but I'd prefer optimized maps for it.

Well as more and more information comes out we will know. As for now I would imagine if people wanted to change maps or learn how to "tweak" the ones they have I could help with that.
I am by no means a pro, but I do good research and learn quickly....

Might want to start a "social group" using that new feature for a Conforti fan club/interested programmers. That might help as a prelim for his site.
