2008 i-Drive NAV DVD?

It works fine. No differences in the local roads, etc., although I would assume some of the POI data has been updated. Not that the car is great at actually finding the POI data I have looked for. i.e., local auto parts stores...

Now what would be REALY cool is the ability to install my own POI list. Speed cameras/red light cameras and my favorite stores/locations. Anyone here do that? I have seen a program that will allow modification of the POI data on the web, but it seems tailored to the X5 in Europe crowd. Anyone in the USA used that or any other technique to add their own POI lists?

In case it has happened to more people I thought I'd share:
After using the burned DVD for 5 days, when I got in the car yesterday leaving work, the screen said "NAV Disc Error" or something like that, I took the DVD out and put it right back in while driving. It still said "Insert NAV DVD" after a few moments, so I took it out and put it back in again and after a few seconds everything was OK again.
This morning it was still OK.

I'll update if it happens to me again.
I'm using a TDK DVD+R right now.
I copied my 2007.2 DVD to a Sony DVD-R right after I got the car, so I would use a copy instead of the original disc just in case, and for 10 months it has worked fine, so if I get the error again, I will try changing the media.

By the way the update is said to have 33 updated cities, 4 million more addresses validated, 89000 miles of roads validated.

It updated a lot of things by me. I couldn't even type in my home address in the last version. It showed me in the middle of a blank screen. Very happy with the new disc so far. Thank again everyone!!

any chance there are any e53 owners out there with an updated nav disc? the ones in our e90s wont work in the e53. i guess the e53 uses i-bus and the e90s use canbus. thanks to anyone who can help me out.

I've been downloading all day and I only have 16%.

That's what I see on the console.
now down to 29 seeds
28 peers.
I set my session to max upload speed.
average is about 220kb/s

I'm leaving this on all weekend.
It took me under 24 hours to get my download complete.

I finished the download. I can't leave it on during the day because my roommates get pissed at the slow Internet speeds but at night it's all you guys. I crank it up to the max and leave it on.

Thanks for seeding I was able to get the file in about a day.
