Thanks guys.
That Tammy really looks like a game changer. Maybe it'll kick Canon in the butt and they'll come out with something competitive in three or four years for three or four times as much.

Ed, looks like a crowded raptor environment. What are they eating there?
Here we've mainly got voles, ground squirrels, field mice and prairie dogs for the mammal eaters and blackbirds, chickadees and robins, year round, for the bird eaters. Dave

It's pretty much the same minus the prairie dogs, although there also rats and gophers. I imagine the northern harriers grab some unsuspecting waterfowl too, especially if there are young ones about. It's a great place to shoot as there are always lots of interesting raptors in addition to the ubiquitous red-tails.

Damn...that probably beats the summation of all visits to my Flickr...ever. lol Love that last BW shot. My only experience with birds at such an angle is pigeons in a hangar...which is usually followed with fear of being pooped on from above.

Thanks. When I was in the Air Force, they would bring in a Falconer with his bird to lay waste to the pigeons up in the rafters. They didn't want bird crap on freshly painted aircraft.

Nice. Some hangars now have electric netting so the pigeons can't make a home up in the rafters.
