I love both of those Mark! I never have a camera ready when my guys "prairie dog" like that. Usually when trying to spot a bird in the back yard.

Thanks, Ed. Wifey was tempting them with a toy just out of frame. I was playing around with high sync flash and auto-ISO. The shot of Wally was taken before the flash could recharge after the initial shot, so it went to ISO 12800. The one of Willie was with the flash and was only ISO 640. With cats moving as quickly as they were, I guess I'd really need a better strobe or a continuous video light. I need to pay closer attention to the framing as well, although there again, fast moving cats make it difficult.

Hehe, luckily my cats are only rarely "fast moving"
Here, poor Lenny has realized everyone is getting ready to leave for the day and gone into sulk mode. If he had his way, Saturdays would be reserved for day long tummy rubs! This was an indoor shot using the 150-600. Hardly ideal conditions, but I was readying the camera for a trip out to the coast, so I gave it a shot. Pretty much the minimum focus distance at about 12 feet. Sad Lenny by lennycarl08, on Flickr |

These pyramids are actually well after the great pyramids of egypt. These are from 300bc-300ad, the egyptian ones are like 3000bc. Pretty cool stuff, I posted more photos in my thread too.

Man, you get around. Nice shot. Not the usual view, which is good.

Nate,
I was going by the shape, you figure why would they go back to the steeper pyramids when they knew they would fail? Iride, Very nice indeed.

Not something I usually see at my train watching spot. Lucky I had the Tammy with me.

Took my last trip for the year up to the wildlife refuges today. The drought has made it kind of a bust year for waterfowl, but today I was treated to a male northern harrier hunting right over me.

Nice shot of "The Grey Ghost" Ed.
Whenever I see a male harrier I thank my lucky stars. Dave
