Looking forward to it. I got my 100L macro late in the fall, so I missed much of last year's bug season.

Me either to be honest
Came home tonight and even though I had a couple of Manhattans, the moon was too clear from my backyard to ignore. And it was also still like 65 degrees outside. I took a few each at 700mm and 1000mm. I will mess with them tomorrow, as I don't feel like moving from the couch tonight. The focus point was actually on the moon while I took the photos, it moves so fast you have to adjust after almost every shot moon shot by lennycarl08, on Flickr |

Never ever seen one with lens reflections or is that flare?
Splendid and I think those Llamas woke up.

Well here is from last night. The first one is at 700mm

And the second one is at 1000mm. Both of these are 100% crops at 1600 pixels square. Not surprising to me, but I find the 700mm shot to be a bit better. 1.4 versus 2.0 TCs. Of course this was just for fun and not a scientific comparison by any means.

Nice shots, Ed. And I agree, the 700mm shot looks a tad sharper. We had a great moonrise tonight, but I'm not up for dragging the gear out.
