Don't want to high jack thread but does anyone on the forum know owner of this car being sold in QLD? He has a single turbo setup, most likely the only one in Aus. Looks like the setup has been done locally using a Garret GT3582R running 500whp+ on 20psi. Might be running low 11s.

Would be good to know which local workshop he used for the custom fabrication etc

Check out this BMW 135i.

He done the conversion himself with a mate apparently, looks like a decent setup but would love to have seen his manifold!

There is also another QLD based 135i owner who has fabricated a ST kit for his car, it's a tough looking car!

Correct me if im wrong but isn't this the car where the guy fabricated his own manifolds with really thin gauge exhaust piping??
Does the inline Walbro 255 pump support over 500rwhp??

Cool thanks for the info - looks like that most people running single turbo kits in Aus are done by the owners themselves with help from their mate.

There is a e90 335i that I saw at a springy motors (forced6) dyno day down here in Melbourne. He ran 424rwkw (574rwhp). The guys name is Jack and he also said he did the conversion himself with a mate. He is running JB4 with a e85 back end flash. No idea what his fuel setup is, may have upgraded injector rails

Oh that's good to know. So those numbers were achieved on pump 98, impressive, you might get another 30-40kw with e85 and the upgraded LPFP.

I must ask - I saw it was an auto, how is the gearbox holding up as it must be pumping 800+ nm of torque ? Is it slipping ?

Nice work man, I'd be stocked with 350+ lol. My car is no where near those power levels (currently at 270rwkw on BP98 FBO stock turbos and exhaust)

But am considering after market turbos (RB, Vargus or Turbo Dynamics). However before that I was thinking about contacting Nizpro to get some info on what they can do to strengthen up the ZF box. They do some good work on the ZF HP26 box found in the xr6/F6s, although I think the 335i run the lower rated HP21.

Would you recommend any other places in Melbourne for gear boxes?

424rwkw and no E85?!?!

This bloke will get crazy gains running PI and E85!!!

But really its not like he would need another 40rwkw or so....

It will be interesting to see how the slushbox holds out!!

Yeh might be a good idea to hold off a few months until Pure release their N54 upgrade - I'll get in touch with nizpro and also speak to rvo and see what options they propose. It will be an expensive exercise no doubt to strengthen the ZF box

Yeh PI and E85, might result in the most powerful N54 in the country lol - I read Advan are at 404rwkw, targeting 450rwkw

The gearbox has been re-built

Have you heard of the level 10 upgrade? this is supposedly the strongest box upgrade and most guys still manage to lunch them with a decent ST setup

Apparently when you go big power the MT is the safest option as it handles the torque more effectively...

These boys should smash 450kw if they can get it tuned right!

Goodluck with the build, please update us all on your progress
