This is a good helpful thread for most people on this forum. However, there is one huge thing that comes into play in your equation. That is the tire brand you go with. The different size of the sidewalls makes a huge difference in tire choice, especially on lowered vehicles. No 2 tires in the world are exactly the same size in real life, no matter what the numbers on the sidewalls say! You should have people post what tire brand they go with as well, along with the other specs of the wheels & tires. Just something to ponder.

Sounds like a good idea. I know dunlop and some others have more roundy sidewalls but yea, your recommendation will now be reflected on my 1st post. Thanks for your advise.

Mods should make this thread a sticky. Or at least have a compilation of tirebrands, size, wheels size, offsets,etc.

There are upgraded front end componants, right? Also, if you get the 18" wheels with the sport suspension, you get the oil cooler bonus.

Feel the blank guys. Anybody running wide tires on either front or back can chime in. It will be helpful for all other members. I know there is one member who's running like 295 in the rear...

Is that on a coupe or a sedan? The sedan will be fine, the coupe might be ok as well because he is using the Toyo T1-R which is a very good tire to use on lowered vehicles because of the very small sidewall.

Front: 19x9.5, offset: +28 245/35/19 Rear: 19x10.5 offset: +29 275/30/19 Going for an aggressive look. Stock height, no drop. Not looking to roll my fenders anytime soon nor drop my car. Thanks. |

That is way too aggressive for the E9x chassis. Even if you are going for the aggressive look, that fitment will probably push the wheels & tires past your fenders. A similar fitment was offered for the and is better suited for the E46 M3 (and was extremely aggressive on that car I might add) and that fitment might quite possibly be fitted on the current gen E90 M3 & E92 M3.

It's possible, but with hard cornering that setup most likely will rub
It is the H&R Sport springs instead of the Race though, the sport have a pretty conservative drop I'd still suggest rolled fenders with a setup like that though I had 19x9.5 +30 with 265/30/19 Federal SS595's and I was rubbing. a 10" wide wheel with a +35mm offset is like 28-29mm on a 9.5" wide wheel...not to mention the 275's on top of that. -Zoeb |

Anybody running 19x10 or wider with high offset? I used to have IS300 and had ran 285 in that tiny car. Offset was like crazy 55+ though. I just want to see if there is anyone trying to go with the widest setup possible on our E92.

We put a 19x10.5 ET40 on my co-workers E92 lowered on H&R race springs using a 275/30 General tire and did not have any rubbing issues. That is pretty much the widest you can safely go without running into any issues. One member squeezed a 20x11 on the rear of his E90. But since the E92 has slightly less room, that will really be pushing it, even with the proper offset. I would highly suggest sticking with the 19x10 because it is a proven fitment without any issues, and with the proper offset and tire brand, a 275/30 tire is not out of the question.
