According to him, there are 11 maps for EGR only.

That's good then. Thanks.

Have Stan and Lenny coded it out with the EGR duty cycle operating at 0% too?

But I can't actually see what's being shown on the laptop...

It almost looks like "Low Pressure EGR" is being shown, which means this must be a X5d? The 335d only has high pressure EGR... Does he have the high pressure EGR fully coded out on the 335d? That would be a good thing if true.
The video is bad quality - I agree. Zoom it and you can see that green color on the top left side is highlighting the high pressure EGR only (low pressure only on X5). On the right side the real data is visible - normally on the idle 19-20% duty cycle. It's real

It wasn't that way on my car. Doesn't sound like it's that way on others either. But my EGR hardware is all gone ... no EGR cooler, no EGR valve, just the little decapitated motor for the plug in :-)

Do we still need blocking plates or is this in conjunction meaning plates physically block it while coding takes care of the SES light?

I'd add the plates if you don't remove your EGR cooler.

In this case it was done in conjunction with the plates.

If you don't block the egr cooler at the exhaust side then the cooler will end up cracking and putting coolant down your exhaust manifold and possibly into the cylinders

I respectfully dispute this.

There has only been one verified cracked cooler that we know of and that was from Euroland on a 335d that was drastically tuned.

I've had my EGR blocked at the upper portion only for over 13k miles now with no issues.

Jess and for others I used the plates and left the EGR in place and still plugged to the ECU and no codes as of today.

I got my car back today apparently the belts were cracked and ENGINE vibration damper was loose(internally) therefore, had to be replaced. They ran a check thru my ECU and NO FAULT STORE

Was vibration damper changed by dealer and under warranty (i.e. free)?

When I was doing the EGR cooler delete and adding the bypass hose, I noticed the paint was cracking off the front of that crank vibration damper. I wonder if this is a precursor to failure.

Hmm is this a rubber or viscous damper? I haven't looked.. Would be cool to upgrade to a viscous damper if we've got rubber..

okay, stupid question. Did you take it to dealer with DPF removed and all 3 emissions coded out? ...and they did work on the dampner for free i.e. warranty wasn't affected ?
I'm lost

no reason DPF removal and tune should affect the warranty on the vibration damper.

Thank you for bringing me into the animal kingdom. What once I thought was merely lore, has now become reality.

^ Thanks Greek for the review i just howled when i went through this thread. The car performs like crazy now. The torque comes in very linear and the car pulls all the way to 45-4700 rpm. The power delivery is very linear as well. I have noticed a lot of improvement within the city driving as well. The car used to be a bit jerky sometimes and the throttle response was a bit vague. Now, the throttle response is far more predictive. I can manipulate the behavior very well now. Actually, i took it on a track today. I was amazed with the performance. There are a few things that i notice that could be improved. I have an appointment with Jarek tomorrow, and he says that he will need the car for a couple of days to iron out some bugs.
What's the latest man?
