Brought my car to BMW Toronto for some warranty work.

Had some communication issues, I dropped off my car at 8am on Wednesday May 27 the SA told me he'll call me if anything comes up regarding the issues I was having. Unfortunately I missed one of his calls due to a dead zone at my work place. I returned his call the same day (multiple times) but I couldn't reach him So I decided to try again the next morning (Thursday), Called at 9am but was told that the SA was busy with a client and will give me a call back as soon as possible. 4pm rolls around and no call back so I called again but this time I was told that my SA was not working that day, so the receptionist forwarded me to the next SA that can assist me. With the next SA I gave them the go ahead to do the work that they needed to but was told that they need to keep my car for another day. The next day I called again about noon time to ask for a ETA since they didn't give me a ETA the previous day, I got a hold of the original SA and he told me that 85% of the job is done except for one thing that needed to be ordered. He asked if I wanted to leave the car for the weekend, I told him I'll come pick it up and do the work the next earliest slot since I can't go a few more days car-less and no loaner. So he scheduled me in for the next earliest slot and I was on my way.

Though my experience was neutral the staff was polite and friendly. I will give another shot with this dealership as I see some positives out of it.

A dealership I do warn others about is Performance BMW in St. Catherines. Sales team and GM is VERY unprofessional and rude.

I have set D1S (bi-xenon) that was almost never used from day 1 (as I had taken them off and replaced with Osram CBI). If interested, then pm. My work place is near Yorkdale Mall.

You have halogen headlights, then my D1S bulbs will NOT work.

For hi/low halogen, you need H7.

You are the real MvP. Now since you're on a roll, what bulbs can I order off powerbulbs.com that would fit my 2011 323i lci with halogens? 😁😁

Since H7 is used for both hi/low halogen headlight. You just need to buy ONE set with two bulbs

Nightbreaker plus ltd is good. So is Philips white Vision .. it's whiter and not dull yellow.

If you are ordering, just make sure you put in the discount code. Shipping to Canada is included in the price. Normally, it will take abut 7 calendar days to arrive. No duties and added taxes upon arrival.

Yea the prices + discount and no shipping fee to Canada is really nice. When these bulbs are installed, do they light up my angel eye rings or is that a separate bulb? Thanks

I was just checking your halogen headlights, it seem you may need 1 set of H7 for low beam + 1 set of H7 for high beam.

You should double check with bmw dealer (parts dep) to confirm. Now, if you just want to change out the low beam, then 1 set of H7 is fine.

I went to European Autobody and they did really great work. Manny went out of his way to help me out.

Went to streetXtreme in Markham too and they did good work.

I recommend both places.

StreetXtreme is a scam - let's just say they told me they were putting in a new part but they rebuilt my broken part. I had 2 other reputable mechanics referred by the forums to check the part for me without me telling them the background story and both said it was a rebuilt part when StreetXtreme told me AND charged me for a "new" part. Plus they told me that they hate e90post members because we are "cheap" he obviously told me this assuming I'm not a member of the forums.

That's just my experience to be honest.

Folks,

Looking to buy a e90 M3. Mileage is very low and car is under CPO, but before I travel to Toronto, I would like get a inspection done by a reputable body shop which can go over any repaint, dent repairs, etc that might have been done.

Although, carproof is clean you never know what may be the story behind the scenes.

Thanks all.

European bodyshop may be good but their prices are extremely high.

1400 $ to repaint a hood , come on!

Prochillo brothers does a good job for a lot less , and they work with BMW of toronto so they are used to high end cars

Europeanbody does about 95% insurance claims repairs. They don't give a damn what anyone thinks about the price as they rarely deal with anyone paying out of their pocket.

And if they do, then it's guys with Ferraris and such that pay to play.

Wondering if anyone knows of a shop around the GTA that does "good" but not perfect work. Not too bothered by the details, looking to repaint some fenders/bumpers
