Yes, I realize that air passes through the intercooler before it reaches your throttlebody/DV's, but are IAT's post intercooler lower then intake temps from ambient air? They very well could be, I have never tested them, but I wouldn't think that they were. Also, I realize that if you want to play devil's advocate you can just say that you are going to compress it again anyway, but its always better to start with lower temps regardless.

The DeLorean utilizes a flux capacitor. Why?
![]() Honestly, I have no idea what an RS6 race car uses and why.

Lol ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I ordered them then I canceled the order because I was like oh the stock units are good for 20-21 psi. Then I a few weeks ago I realized how much i beat the shit out of my car and said to myself how much would that suck if my DV's gave out right now. And bam! good bye a couple days ago when I ran those AMG's. Then today I had time to order them and I called and they were sold out. So a few weeks ago I got an offer to be sponsored by a BOV company and today I actually thought about it... Hence the whole thread. lol

Which BOV were you thinking of getting?
Nobody wanna listen to me when they install their BOV, it runs crappy because it leaks at the part where the intake temp sensor goes into the charge pipe. You have to find a rubber gasket to ghetto rig it in there, make sure all the couplings are super tight and the vacuum valve are on tight and you'll see what that does. Might be placebo, but i notice turbo spools up faster, and in between shifts the car didn't lose boost like most say, car kept pulling...this is with an HKS kit btw

I will answer this because unlike others who just want to give opinions, I have had both on my car.
I had the UR Tial BOV for a while. I really liked it but in all honesty, you need to be pushing some good boost to get any sound out of it. I didnt feel any loss of power between it or the stock DV's. About a month ago I switched to the Forge DV's. Immediately I noticed that boost was held better between shifts(on my car which is a manual, on an auto I doubt this would be an issue). I dont hear any woosh sounds any louder than stock. They make the engine bay just as pretty as the BOV in case you were wondering. I would say go for the forge dv's if you could go for one in the first place.

All the hole that the temp sensor goes into, is made a bit bigger than stock, so slight boost escape from there. So you have to rig ur own gasket to keep the boost from leaking

Personally I don't think it makes much of a difference... BOV or DV... its not like DVs can create boost in the pre-turbo intake area anyway... if it did, it would get blown back out through the air filter to the atmosphere.
It probably does reduce vacuum a bit during shifts pre-turbo, but that's all, but at the cost of the air being hotter. Its going to be a lot hotter than the atmosphere...after all its the atmospheric temperature air that the intercooler uses to try and cool the intake charge. I just installed the Forge DV and so far results have been outstanding! JB2H feels stronger and more linear now... but could just be the placebo effect. I'm testing JB2HR with race gas later. ![]()

Ya Im going to have to wait a couple weeks to get those forge DV's, they are going quick like hot cakes.
Yesterday I called up to see how many they had in stock and they had 3. Today I called to order and they were sold out, and I called super early PST.

I never had an AA BOV so i couldn't tell you, but my kit was leaking right there because i can move the sensor in and out of that hole without any resistance so i knew it wasn't sitting snug...
