What country is it made in?

these tyres are manufactured around the world. Goodyear say, they are not all for use in every country.
I.E. They maybe called Eagle F1 and have eurpean markings but are made to a different spec!

That could have been fatal.
I'm about to change from winters and usually use F1's but that's made me think, look elsewhere.

I'm glad no harm came to you.....
Not sure if this helps but some more of the sidewall info.

Tyre also has 'Made in Germany' on it.

Have to say 'Tyres on the Drive' who I got them from have been really good about it. They even offered to send a technician to collect it.

Deffo check the tyres for the presence of the ridge I mentioned in post #7.

As i mentioned earlier, EVERY Eagle F1 i've seen has that ridge. Its presumably from the mould when the tyre is manufactured. I've been thru three or four full sets of them over my various cars. So its quite likely that he will find that ridge on his.

Its not the reason for vibration, because non of my Goodyears with that ridge have vibrated. Just a coincidence in your case that something had gone a bit wonky with the tyres, and you happened to find that ridge.

I had one pair of front tyres wear egg shaped, and those had horrible vibrations, but it was caused by worn upper control arms on the car, allowing the toe to flop around while driving. Cant really blame the tyre in that instance
