In my experience, shy away from 3" piping, that's like trying to blow air out of one of those boba straws, go with 2"-2.5" to get it raspier and higher pitched

Of course I've noticed that as well actually. I've got either 2.5 or 2.25 from the stock 2.75 from the res back to a glasspack and enjoy the sound very much
