Here's a short vid I did of my HVI a little while back.
*Edit* After installing the HVI, I unplugged the battery for about 10-15 minutes, before ever driving the car, to allow the ECU to reset faster and the results were instant. The throttle was much more responsive than stock. The slightest input on the gas pedal creates an instant effect. The car feels like it definitely accelerates better than with the stock air box, though I don't have an accurate means to measure it right now, and definitely pulls harder all the way to the limiter without hesitation. I have recently done the brake duct mod and the HVI feels much cooler after flogging the car than it does without. (Without the brake duct mod the HVI is never burning hot, simply warm to the touch). For the first few days after the install I did not feel much of a difference other than the sound. But after the ecu adapted it was a whole different story, the turbos spool up faster and I get 20-30% better throttle response. (the noise doesn't hurt either )

I just bought a 328i snorkel and it fit like a glove and feeds air better to the air filter.
Post pics tomorrow. Also, I am going to put a video camera into engine bay so you can hear some turbos spooling....

328i Snorkel
Here are some pics of my engine bay after I installed a 328i Snorkel. The 335i snorkel sends the air to the back of the engine bay. The 328 snorkel feeds the Logic Intake.
I also threw a video camera into the engine bay to allow you guys to enjoy the cacophony of BMW turbos.... The camera is inside a protective case so no visuals. (It is actually more exciting than a race video shot from a camera phone in the middle east). I was just driving home in traffic from the Car Dealer. I will repeat this exercise on the track..... Lemme know what you guys think.... http://www.youtube.com/v/869upP776UI
