Yes, replacement filters are available. But they are also washable and re-oil-able just like K&N filters. And no, they are not K&N filters

The filter is 5" tall, not including the rubber flange. About 6" diameter at its base. Any taller and I'd be surprised if it would fit.

use dry cloth filters. or paper. too many people have user errors washing and re-oiling . Or just too lazy to let them dry out for a couple of hours.

can you datalog 2 minute (typical rush hour line) stopped at a light stock box versus this box to make sure there's not heatsoaking going on when we finally get our turn to go there's mojo

lol.. no problem. I'll try to conduct the datalog tomorrow. You won't see any more heatsoak with the dual intakes.

Maybe a little. Nothing much though. I suppose I can do some dyno testing comparisons and hand select some runs that suggest a measurable power gain on a stock car. No harm in running it in such an application. At least it will sound cooler.

Shiv, please tell me the reducer (adaptor) that will be provided will be metric. the standard ones tend to have problems after a while.

looks like a nice system, the dual thing is interesting!

but as with every other intake system than stock there are two things:

1) oiled filters and MAFs
2) filters let bigger particles through than the stock filter - engine longevity

what's your take on this? not necessarily in regards to your system, but in general.

thanks!

1) Oil contamination is a problem with some MAFs. Fortunately, the N54 engine does use one so there is no potential issue.

2) The filter material we are using is pretty dense so I don't think it sacrifices filtration very much. This is one of the reasons we are cramming in 200 sq inches of filter surface area in there. So we can use a good filter material

It comes pre-oiled. So I guess that makes it wet? Doesn't feel wet.
